WoodStone specialises in reclaimed cast iron radiators.
With over two hundred radiators in stock at any one
time, we have items dating back to the 19th century
in vast range of shapes and sizes.
From the neo-classic and princess radiators commonly
used in municipal buildings such as schools and hospitals
to extremely ornate and unique items reclaimed from churches and
stately homes in the UK and Europe. After collecting
reclaimed items are rigorously tested and reconditioned
before they are made available for sale.
Radiators are first
tested for any leaks - we test to a pressure of between
four and seven bars - the average working pressure
of a modern central heating system is around 1 bar.
They are then flushed thoroughly to remove any residual
silt, rust and limescale, all of which are harmful
to central heating pumps. They are then finally shot
blasted back to virgin cast iron ready for painting
and re-valved to enable modern or repro radiator
valves to be fitted.
We supply radiators in a range of five colours or fully
polished.
